Why a vocational society, on top of a vocational degree?
College of Vocational Studies was built on a simple idea — that a degree should come with skill attached, not just theory. Vociferous Vocational picks up that idea and runs with it outside the syllabus.
We started as a small, word-of-mouth community — students trading internship leads, sharing what a workshop taught them, pulling in a senior who'd cracked a placement to talk about how. That instinct is still the core of what we do; we've just given it structure: a calendar, a committee, and a standard for what's worth your time.
Today, that means a running programme of workshops, industry sessions, and career-focused events open to every student at CVS — regardless of course or year — built around one question: what skill will actually move you forward this semester?
